When you’re locked out
Keys on the seat. Keys in the trunk. A door that shut behind you, or a fob that died with the doors locked. Call us, tell us the year, make and model and where the car is, and you get a quote on the phone before we dispatch.
If a child or pet is in immediate danger inside a locked car, call 911 first. Then call us.
After 7pm, a lockout is emergency service, quoted up front like any other job.
What we do
We come to the car and open it with care for the door, the lock and the paint. It’s usually a matter of minutes once we’re there. As with any lock work, no job is entirely risk-free.
Before we open anything, we check the car is yours: photo ID that matches the registration, and the registration or title.
Once you’re back in, there may be a bigger problem to fix. If the only key is gone, we can make a new one in the same visit. See lost car key replacement. If you’d like a second key so this can’t happen twice, see spare car key.
